A family apiary in Bulgaria
Roh Honig is a family apiary in the village of Dolishte near Varna, Bulgaria. We produce raw, natural, premium-quality honey and tend 150–200 hives.
For more than 50 years, several generations have been developing the apiary, combining new technologies with proven beekeeping practices. One of them is transhumance: in late spring and through summer, part of the apiary is placed near rapeseed and sunflower fields.
Herbal meadows, shrubs and forest honey plants — dogwood, acacia, linden, chestnut, fruit trees, rose hips, chamomile, dandelion, sunflower, thistle and many other flowers and herbs — surround the stationary part of the apiary. Together they are the source of pollen and nectar for the bees, and the reason for the rich, dense, unique flavour of our honey.
Beekeeping has become a craft for us, and we gladly care for the bees every day. In harmony with nature, we produce premium-quality honey in the belief that pure, natural foods are foundational to our health.
